Harrisons Malayalam Tea Estate, Arrapetta

Harrisons Malayalam Tea Estate, Arrapetta: Arrapetta Estate (Meppadi Post) is one of the Wayanad tea estates of Harrisons Malayalam Ltd, which lists it as making orthodox tea, about two million kg a year, in its Wynaad estates at 2,500 to 3,500 feet. OpenStreetMap shows the Mele Arapetta tea factory and an HML estate bungalow at Thinapuram, east of Meppadi, close to the Ripon tea estate. It is a working private plantation: no visitor hours, factory tours or fees are published, so enjoy the estate roads and views from the public road. From Kalpetta it is about 15 km by road.
