Keluvaidyar: traditional tribal healer in Kattikulam

Keluvaidyar is a traditional herbal healer of the Kurichya tribal community in Kattikulam, a town in the Mananthavady area. The blog says he is widely sought out, with patients travelling to him from other cities.

Among the ailments it mentions are asthma, diabetes and skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. The post also describes how tribal healers keep their recipes secret and how little of this knowledge is written down.
