It grows rare and threatened plants of the Western Ghats, among them ferns, mosses, balsams, orchids, aroids and gingers, and returns them to the wild.
Visits are by botanical day tour, Monday to Saturday, offered in several languages including English and Malayalam; book ahead with the sanctuary. Sources: gbsanctuary.org, Rainforest Concern.
